Abigael McLean
With a proven track record in leadership, a passion for the theatre arts, and a member of ITS. Abigael is running for Vice President to ensure a year of fun and to further support ITS. The most recent leadership role was directing Winnie the Pooh, Abigael brings experience in management, scheduling, and problem-solving.

Nehemiah Ogbonna-Fulton

Hello my name is Nehemiah Ogbonna-Fulton! I am a student at North Wake Early College & Career Academy, where I am in the business program. I have four years of theatre experience. I have previously performed in Wakefield Theatres’ productions of Mamma Mia and Alice by Heart. Other shows I have done include Cinderella 41 at Raleigh Little Theatre, and Newsies at Neuse River Middle School. I have trained in acting through programs such as the Back To One acting class and Moonlight Stage Co. I am passionate about performing and leading in ITS as either Historian or President Elect. I am great at communicating with others and leading, and I don’t mind taking action to get things done. Shortly, I will be shadowing Lucy as a dance choreographer in our upcoming production of Matilda. I have shadowed John, creating a scrapbook of some of WTC’s previous shows. From my experience, and being able to watch and learn from current Officers, I am ready to lead as an ITS Officer.

Omausonwa Ani
Hi! My name is Oma, and I’m a rising junior. I would love to serve as Secretary for ITS because I’m highly organized, reliable, and attentive very to detail. I’m someone who naturally keeps track of information and find comfort in ensuring e things run smoothly in the background. I would take care in recording accurate notes, managing communication, and helping keep members informed about meetings, events, and important updates. I also value clarity and consistency, and I would make sure no detail gets lost or overlooked to the best of my ability. I would love to support ITS by helping everything stay structured, efficient, and easy for members to stay connected.

Tessa Hubbard

It is the secretary’s job to take notes from meetings and to handle some “housekeeping” with the company. I would say I am a very diligent note taker, plus a reliable person you can count on to keep up with everyone’s hours, update our website, or anything else you need! I am happy to take minutes, make spreadsheets, create to-do lists, or draft up an email for those occasions when something needs to be sent to the whole cast or board of members. All in all, I think I am an excellent candidate for next year’s ITS secretary position.

Paola Quinones-Olmeda

I believe that I am qualified to be the treasurer because I am very passionate about theatre and I want to see the drama club and ITS continue to grow. I am an organized and dependable person and am good at keeping things on track. I am also a creative person with a lot of ideas, and I would love to make the treasurer position a more involved role in the club. One idea that I had was to start doing themed fundraisers for whatever show is currently in production. For example, for a show such as Mamma Mia!, Greek or beach themed treats could be sold before the show, such as before school, during lunch, or after school, as a way to both make money and advertise the show. I think ideas such as this can help increase participation in the club while also making fundraising more exciting and connected to theatre. I am excited for an opportunity to step up and learn to help the club grow and succeed.

Ella Molina

I am interested in getting more involved in ITS as well as contributing to the very best of my abilities. I’m excited for the opportunity to possibly help the club continue to grow and succeed. I’m also very willing to work with new people and communicate with others in order to help the club!

Carolina Leduc
Hi I’m Carolina and I’m running for treasurer. I really love drama club and have always loved theater ever since I was little. I believe I am qualified for this role because ever since I was little my mom has always taught me the value of a dollar and through this I’ve been able to build a really good understanding of how to spend it and how to find the best deals for things. An idea I would bring to this role is selling really cute physical tickets as a somewhat souvenir. I know we have playbills but I personally love to collect tickets from every event I go to and I would love to bring this to ITS.

Omausonwa Ani

Hi! My name is Oma and I’m a rising junior. I believe I would be a strong fit for PR Officer for ITS because I’m creative, responsible, prolific, and enthusiastic about developing WTC as a community. I really enjoy helping clubs feel welcoming and active, and I would work hard to promote shows, club meetings, events and more, increase participation, and keep students informed and interested through social media and announcements. I’m very passionate about theatre, and I would love to reflect that through the things I create for us. I’m also organized and excited to put in effort behind the scenes to help the chapter grow. It would be an honor to work behind the scenes to help our community continue to grow and thrive!

Louisa Steiner
Hi! I’m Louisa and I am running for Public Relations! I believe I am best qualified for this position because I have an eye for design and consider it something I’m good at. I love doing art and actually am very interested in pursuing design as a career! I also am very up to date with the trends and love creating content.

I’m a kind open minded dedicated thespian who wants more experience working in theater related things. I believe I qualify for this role because I’ve very sociable I like talking to people.

Sydney Grantham

Recently, I gained an interest in creating digital posters for events and business. I like making these posters because with the right details, decorations and fonts you can make whatever it is you’re promoting come to life. I feel that allowing everyone to see the fun, hard work and effort that goes into WTC is a really good way to make people want to be involved with the company. If it wasn’t for some of the posters and overall promotion of WTC I wouldn’t be as involved as I am today and I love the idea of involving more students through social media especially since it is such a big part of our lives now.

Kennedy Robinson

I like taking photos because they keep memories alive no matter how much time passes and no matter what century we’re in people will still be able to look back and see our achievements and successes and moments together I want to capture moments that would normally be unnoticed because without photos some moments can feel as if it didn’t happen in theatre and everyday life photography helps create a certain emotion and tell stories without words through a camera lens that’s what I find most fascinating about photography I can capture expressions and memories that people can look back on years later I enjoy showing people moments they may not have noticed in themselves and while also expressing my own creativity

I enjoy scrapbooking, capturing memories, and I would love to use my creative abilities to show what Wakefield theatre company is all about!

ITS, or the International Thespian Society, is the theatre honors society for high school students, and recognizes and encourages student achievements in all aspects of theatre. Wakefield High School represents ITS Troupe #6326

ITS is a great way to get more involved with the WTC community and productions.  Additionally, as a member you get:

• A blue and yellow cord at graduation
• Centurion bars   (1 for every 100 extra hours earned)

The opportunity to become an ITS Officer!   (More information below)

In order to be a part of our ITS troupe, you must:

• Complete 100 hours of theatre work per school year with WHS   (For how to get hours, see question below)
• Maintain a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Be a Junior or below   (New inductees only)

Pay induction fee of $30   (Returning members pay $10 at the start of each year)

In order to become a member of ITS, you need to earn 100 hours of logged WTC work. This may sound like a lot, but it goes by very fast!

Members can earn hours by:

• Participating in a WTC show! For every show, actors and stage managers earn 80 hours and tech earns 30 hours
• Coming in to work on extra tech days for shows
• Submit a set design for a show (2 hours)
• See a show (1 hour) and write a critique on said show (+ 2 hours)
• Support WTC in various events throughout the year, including: pipe and drape set up, graduation and senior night set up/break down, Mistletoe Market, hanging up show posters in the community, tech support for school sponsored events, helping with the WMS musical, etc. 
• Help with/act in productions at other companies (ask an officer)

We hold ITS inductions every year, and after new members are inducted, we elect our new officers to take over for the next year. To show interest in becoming an ITS Officer, you may reach out to either the student whose role you are interested in, or to the director of our troupe, Ms. Delaney, to discuss interest in shadowing for a position. Shadowing is a great way for current members OR students not yet inducted to show interest in future officer positions and learn more about the responsibilities of being an officer. We are always happy to talk and answer any questions you may have!
